Open a lot
Define the work area, then separate brush, trees and below-ground work.
What stays: Keeper trees stay. Roots and debris handling must be specified; an open lot is not automatically a building pad.

We clear overgrown parcels, open access routes and prepare ground for a defined future use across Hendry County. Whether your property needs a clean lot surface, a mulched finish or just a passable path cut through, the right clearing result depends on what you plan to do next. Tell us your intended use and we will scope the work, put it in writing and give you a straight estimate before anything moves.

What stays: A layer of mulch and the root systems normally remain. Grubbing and haul-off are separate work.

What stays: The chosen canopy stays. Cut material is mulched or collected according to the written scope.

Lot clearing removes surface vegetation, brush and smaller trees to deliver an open, workable surface. Forestry mulching grinds standing vegetation and leaves the processed material on the ground — roots stay in place below grade. Brush and underbrush clearing can use cutting, mulching or a combination depending on density and your intended finish. None of these services are interchangeable, and the right one is decided by what the cleared area needs to support, not by acreage alone. We ask about your future use before we scope anything.
Before work begins, we establish a boundary and mark what stays — specimen trees, buffer areas, anything your deed, HOA or local review requires to remain. Everything inside the clearing boundary is treated according to the agreed scope. Material cut but not mulched in place either stays as slash or is dealt with separately under a hauling or disposal line item; that is quoted on its own, not silently included. If specific trees along your property line need to stay, note them when you request the estimate so we can confirm boundary placement before equipment arrives.
Some owners need a drivable or walkable path opened through dense growth without clearing the whole parcel. Access-only clearing is a narrower scope — typically a defined corridor width — and is quoted separately from a full lot clearing job. If you later want the rest of the parcel cleared, that is scoped as a second project. For a full lot clearing job, the goal is an open usable surface across the defined area. Both scopes require you to confirm your parcel lines before we set the work boundary.
Compare the three clearing options →Forestry mulching processes above-ground vegetation — trees, brush, saplings — and returns the material to the surface as ground cover. Below-ground root systems are generally left in place. This means mulching is not grubbing and does not eliminate stumps or major root mass. If your intended use requires bare mineral soil, root removal or grade work, those are separate scopes we quote individually. Mulching works well for parcels where a natural surface finish is acceptable and you want vegetation controlled without hauling material off-site.
Larger stumps and root systems left after clearing are handled under a separate scope. We do not include stump or root removal inside a standard lot clearing or mulching price. When you request an estimate, tell us about visible stumps or mature trees slated for removal so we can scope that work explicitly. Leaving it unaddressed until equipment is on-site changes the job. If you are unsure what is on the parcel — say, an area that was partially cleared years ago and has since regrown — describe it as best you can and we will ask follow-up questions before we quote.
Your parcel's mailing address in Clewiston does not automatically place it inside city limits or subject it to city rules. Some parcels carry a Clewiston address while falling under Hendry County jurisdiction. The City of Clewiston publishes forms and informational documents at its forms directory; Hendry County maintains its own land clearing guidelines. Both are starting points. Confirm which authority governs your specific parcel before submitting any application. We scope the physical work; permit research and applications are your responsibility unless we agree otherwise in writing.
Request a property estimate →To illustrate how we think about scope: imagine a property owner in the Clewiston area has a five-acre parcel with a mix of mature trees they want preserved along the north edge, dense brush across the interior and an overgrown access lane from the road. A written scope for that situation might separate three line items — access corridor clearing, interior brush clearing with a mulched finish and a boundary buffer with marked trees flagged to remain. Each line is quoted independently. This is a hypothetical example, not a description of a past project or a standard package we apply to every parcel.
Price factors include parcel size, vegetation density, access to the site, material handling and the type of finish required. For forestry mulching, our project minimum is $1,200. Other clearing services are quoted separately at our pricing page. Mobilization, hauling, disposal, stump work and grading are not included unless they appear as explicit line items in your written scope. We cover Hendry County and the broader southwest Florida region; see the Hendry County service page for more. Request a written estimate to get your project-specific number.

Questions from property owners
We treat regrowth the same way we treat any uncleared vegetation — we assess what is there now, not what was cleared before. The age of previous clearing does not reduce the current scope or price. Describe the regrowth as accurately as you can when you request the estimate, and we will ask follow-up questions before quoting. A site visit may be necessary for heavily regrown parcels.
We scope and perform the physical clearing work. Permit research and applications are the property owner's responsibility unless we specifically agree otherwise in a written scope. We recommend confirming your parcel's jurisdiction — city or county — and reviewing applicable guidelines before scheduling any clearing work. We can tell you what the physical scope involves; local authority confirmation is yours to complete.
Yes, but we quote each scope as a separate line item so you can see exactly what each portion costs. Combining them does not mean they are priced as a single flat rate. If your priorities shift — say you only want the access lane cleared first — you can approve one line and defer the other without renegotiating the whole estimate.
A mailing address alone does not confirm jurisdiction. Check your property appraiser record or contact Hendry County directly to verify which authority governs your parcel. The City of Clewiston and Hendry County each publish their own forms and guidelines. Confirming jurisdiction before you submit any application saves time and prevents work from being scoped under the wrong set of rules.
